Jeongeup-si, Completion of Shintaein Public Terminal
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 6th that with the completion of the Shintaein Public Terminal, it will provide better convenience and a more pleasant environment to terminal users.
The city decided on the modernization project of the Shintaein Terminal, which faced closure due to the absence of an operating business operator in 2019, and completed land acquisition and demolition of the existing building.
Subsequently, construction began in June last year, and after recently completing the installation of auxiliary facilities such as signage, all construction was finalized, and full operation started on the 1st.
The city prioritized the safety of terminal users and citizens by frequently inspecting the site and carefully overseeing the progress to ensure smooth completion at each stage.
The Shintaein Public Terminal was built on the site of the existing terminal with a total project cost of 1 billion KRW, covering a land area of 1,883㎡ and a building gross floor area of 204.33㎡ on one floor.
The newly constructed terminal is equipped with heating and cooling facilities so that passengers can wait comfortably regardless of the season.
Additionally, it includes facilities such as a waiting room, ticket office, office, and crew lounge, and the surrounding environment was improved to provide users with a pleasant experience.
Intercity buses operating from Shintaein Public Terminal run 6 times to Gwangju, 5 times to Jeonju, and 3 times to Buan, totaling 17 trips daily.
City buses can also use the public terminal, and the temporary bus stop that had been in operation for 7 months was dismantled.
