Yeongdeungpo-gu Installs 'Digital Promotion Boards' at Yeongdeungpo Station Exit 1 and Yeoinaru Station Exit 4
Installation Completed at 3 Locations Including Yeongdeungpo Station, Yeouinaru Station, and Dangsan Station... Selected High Foot Traffic Areas... Enhanced Visibility with High-Resolution Displays... Remote Broadcasting and Touchscreen Method Introduced... Implementing Smart Administration
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yeongdeungpo-gu (District Mayor Chae Hyun-il) has installed 'Digital District Administration Promotion Boards' at three major subway stations in the area to quickly deliver district news in real time in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution era, significantly enhancing residents' access to information.
By installing these digital promotion boards, the district has moved away from the traditional method of attaching and replacing paper posters or banners, establishing a system that remotely broadcasts and manages information related to major district policies, education, culture, and events.
The digital boards are designed to display information only during pre-set periods. This reduces the effort of posting and deleting individual information daily and also increases the timeliness of promotions. Additionally, it saves printing costs.
Not only various information and benefits covering the entire district administration but also COVID-19 related guidance, which is directly linked to residents' lives, can now be broadcast remotely in real time.
It is expected to greatly improve residents' access to information and enable proactive responses in urgent situations such as disasters and emergencies.
Furthermore, the locations were selected based on high foot traffic, and high-resolution, high-brightness displays were used to enhance visibility. A touchscreen function was also added so residents can conveniently find and view information in their desired fields.
The newly installed digital district promotion boards can be found at Exit 1 of Yeongdeungpo Station, Exit 4 of Yeouinaru Station, and Exit 1 of Dangsan Station.
Mr. Park (35), a resident who commutes via subway at Dangsan Station, said, "I noticed the digital board at the subway exit I always pass by in the morning and evening, and it caught my attention. I'm glad I can now access useful district news without missing it despite my busy daily life."
Following the installation of these digital promotion boards, the district plans to add digital boards capable of viewing official notices and announcements at the district office main building, annex, and Yeongdeungpo Art Hall.
