On the 5th, the Central Avian Influenza Countermeasures Headquarters (CAC) announced that after conducting a detailed examination of the farm where the H5 type AI antigen was detected, it was confirmed to be the highly pathogenic H5N8 strain.

Accordingly, the CAC carried out preventive culling of poultry raised on farms within a 3 km radius of the outbreak site. Additionally, poultry farms within a 10 km radius were ordered to restrict movement for 30 days. With this confirmation, the number of highly pathogenic AI cases in the country has increased to 46.
