Buan Jongori Farm Confirmed with Highly Pathogenic AI
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] A case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (AI) has been confirmed at a Pekin duck farm in Buan, Jeonbuk.
On the 5th, the Central Avian Influenza Countermeasures Headquarters (CAC) announced that after conducting a detailed examination of the farm where the H5 type AI antigen was detected, it was confirmed to be the highly pathogenic H5N8 strain.

Accordingly, the CAC carried out preventive culling of poultry raised on farms within a 3 km radius of the outbreak site.
