Especially, from the night of the 6th until the early morning of the next day, heavy snow is expected to fall intensively in most areas.
The Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration announced on the 5th that due to the influence of a pressure trough moving southward near the Bohai Bay in China, from 3 PM on the 6th until the 8th, more than 30 cm of heavy snow is expected in Gwangju and western Jeonnam, and up to 20 cm in other areas.
The expected snowfall from the 6th to the 8th is 5 to 20 cm (more than 30 cm in heavy snowfall areas).
Morning temperatures on the 6th and 7th will be below freezing, especially inland, making it cold. During this period, the morning low temperatures will range from -8 to -3℃ and -11 to -5℃, and the daytime highs will be between 0 to 3℃ and -6 to -3℃.
Strong winds will also blow, making the wind chill temperature even lower.
This cold wave will peak on the 8th. Afterward, daytime temperatures will remain 2 to 6℃ lower than average for an extended period.
