After 10 Years of Construction, Signs of Structural Corrosion, Deck Deformation, and Railing Aging Appear... Installation of Rainwater Management Facilities and Artificial Waterfall Viewing Area Alongside Facility Replacement
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Moon Seok-jin) has completed facility maintenance and design improvements for the landmark of Hongjecheon, the Pokpoma-dang (433 Hong Eun-dong), and reopened it at the beginning of the new year.
The Hongjecheon Pokpoma-dang showed signs of structural corrosion, deck deformation, and railing aging after 10 years since its establishment.
Also, during rainy weather, rainwater flowing from the public parking lot behind Pokpoma-dang did not flow smoothly into Hongjecheon, causing water to pool in the parking lot and creating odors.
The district replaced old facilities and installed rainwater treatment facilities to prevent safety accidents and resolve residents' inconveniences, and also completed painting work on the structures.
In addition, a stepped resting area where citizens can view the artificial waterfall was newly created to enhance citizen convenience.
