NC and CJ ENM Establish Joint Venture... Collaborate on Content and Platform Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] NCSoft has joined hands with CJ ENM for a content business collaboration.
On the 5th, according to NCSoft, the two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate in the content and digital platform business sectors.
The two companies plan to establish a joint venture within the year. They aim to combine NCSoft's IT technology with CJ ENM's entertainment business expertise to develop various content businesses.
NCSoft is expanding the use of its various IT technologies beyond games into diverse fields. Earlier this year, it also prepared to launch 'Universe,' a platform where K-pop stars and fans can communicate.
Kim Jeong-ha, Head of NCSoft's Entertainment Business Division, said, "Since the capabilities each company possesses are different, we believe we can achieve meaningful results through synergy."
