According to local media such as Fox News, around 5 p.m. that day, a theft suspect opened fire at a Walmart in Sterling, Loudoun County, Virginia, injuring two security guards and one sheriff's office employee.
The sheriff's office personnel responded to a theft report at the store and arrived at the scene. During the arrest process, the suspect drew a gun and fired. The suspect then stole a pickup truck and fled but was eventually apprehended.
