Jeonnam Province Recruits Participants for Livestock Farmers' 'Livestock Facility Modernization Project'
Applications accepted until the 8th... 5-year grace period, 10-year repayment, 80% project cost loan support
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province announced on the 3rd that it is recruiting participants for the '2021 Livestock Facility Modernization Project' until the 8th to improve the livestock rearing environment of livestock farms.
The Livestock Facility Modernization Project is a production infrastructure establishment project aimed at minimizing livestock diseases, improving productivity of livestock farms, and supplying safe livestock products to consumers.
Eligible applicants include ▲ farms or agricultural corporations that received livestock business permits or registrations before December 31, 2014 ▲ graduates of livestock-related high schools and universities who majored in livestock-related departments (under 50 years old).
Farms or corporations wishing to participate in the project should prepare the relevant documents and apply at the respective city/county and eup/myeon/dong community service centers.
Selection of candidates will be finalized after reviewing the farm's budget status, eligibility, and support details through the respective city/county, prioritizing farms that have completed permits allowing project commencement, eco-friendly certified farms, and others.
The support type is divided into medium/small-scale (annual interest rate 1%) and large-scale (annual interest rate 2%) farms based on the livestock facility area stated on the livestock business permit/registration certificate, with differential interest rates applied.
The province provides loan support covering 80% of the project cost with a 5-year grace period and 10-year repayment term, investing 43.2 billion KRW for this purpose.
The project costs are used for new construction, repair, relocation of livestock facilities, internal facilities (feeding, watering, electricity, milking, ventilation, etc.), external facilities (quarantine, manure treatment, equipment, etc.), landscape improvement facilities, and renewable energy power generation facilities.
The Livestock Facility Modernization Project has been a government priority policy since 2009, and Jeonnam Province has supported 1618 households with 365.8 billion KRW so far.
