40s Man Who Fought with Wife Presumed Dead from Self-Immolation in Boiler Room
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] A man in his 40s, presumed to have attempted self-immolation after a quarrel with his wife, has died.
According to the police and fire authorities on the 3rd, at around 12:56 a.m., a fire broke out at a house in Janghak-ri, Dong-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon Province, and during firefighting efforts, A (49) was found dead in the boiler room.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the incident, presuming that A set himself on fire in the boiler room after a marital dispute with his wife.

The fire was extinguished by the dispatched fire authorities after about two hours, and a 99.73㎡ prefabricated panel house was burned, causing an estimated property damage of about 100 million won according to the fire station.
