On the 31st, the Cultural Heritage Administration announced the registration of three items as cultural heritage: 'Gunsan Dunyul-dong Cathedral Construction Diary and Building Permit Application,' 'Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Najeon Chilgi Technical Training Center,' and 'Chonnam National University Yongbong Hall.' Gunsan Dunyul-dong Cathedral began as a chapel (a smaller church than a parish) during the Japanese colonial period and was newly constructed between 1955 and 1957. The construction diary contains the overall process of the cathedral’s planning, groundbreaking, completion, and construction funds, while the building permit application includes the permit application form, blueprint drawings, and specifications from that time. An official explained, "It records the construction process of the cathedral built after the Korean War in relatively detailed terms," adding, "It holds high cultural heritage value due to its integrated meaning and value linked with the cathedral."
The 'Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Najeon Chilgi Technical Training Center' is a site of Najeon Chilgi (mother-of-pearl lacquerware) craftsmanship that continues the legacy of the 12 workshops of the Joseon Tongjeyeong. Specialized craft education in Najeon Chilgi was conducted through the liberation and war periods. An official stated, "It has historical significance as the origin and cradle of modern and contemporary crafts."

'Chonnam National University Yongbong Hall' is the main administrative building of Chonnam National University. It is evaluated as unique for its tower-shaped structure vertically emphasized at the center and the symmetrical treatment of the facade and floor plan around it. An official said, "It is a design element frequently used in public buildings from the 1950s to 1960s," adding, "It holds great value in modern architectural history."
