This is part of a non-face-to-face program where the CEO and employees communicate. Earlier in June, they received favorable reviews for the ‘Wansin Live (Completely New Live)’ YouTube live broadcast named after CEO Wanshin Lee. This was the second content held this year, and to celebrate the year-end, all employees participated in the ‘Wansin Live On (溫)Tact Year-end Party,’ which allowed them to strengthen bonds and enjoy together in a relaxed atmosphere.
Since November, when social distancing level 1.5 was implemented, Lotte Homeshopping has been conducting work-from-home for all employees except essential broadcasting personnel. As communication among employees became prolongedly insufficient, the event was planned at the suggestion of CEO Wanshin Lee to revitalize the internal atmosphere and start the new year energetically. To comply with quarantine rules with minimal personnel, pre-recording was conducted over three days starting from the 21st.
The event was held for a total of 30 minutes through the Lotte Homeshopping YouTube channel ‘Wansin Live.’ Unlike the somewhat heavy atmosphere of previous year-end parties and closing ceremonies, the event was conducted in a flexible atmosphere, with Lotte Homeshopping show hosts interviewing key executives, including CEO Wanshin Lee, in a relay format on behalf of employees.
Following the organizational restructuring in early December, time was allocated to introduce the changed organization and new executives of each headquarters. The executives presented their New Year pledges and added fun elements by sharing unique penalties they would perform if they failed. CEO Wanshin Lee delivered a year-end message and New Year greetings. Additionally, gifts such as ‘iPads’ and ‘Apple Watches’ were given to employees through a raffle, and a ‘Lucky Draw’ event was held to provide commemorative gifts to each team.

Jae-hong Park, Head of Management Support Division at Lotte Homeshopping, said, “Due to the high-intensity social distancing measures, the year-end party was converted to a non-face-to-face format for the first time since the company’s founding.” He added, “The YouTube year-end party received high praise, especially from younger employees, and we plan to design various untact organizational culture programs in the future to revitalize the internal atmosphere, which has been stagnant due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation, and to continue communication among employees.”
