Delivering Handwritten Letters of Comfort to Households in Self-Quarantine in Separate Spaces... Selection of Households with Special Stories Among Integrated Case Management Subjects and Delivery of Necessary Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwangjin-gu (Mayor Kim Seon-gap) delivered warm consolation and messages of hope to residents fatigued by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to marginalized neighbors during the year-end and New Year season.
First, the district sent thank-you text messages to residents who worked behind the scenes throughout the year to overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
The recipients included participants in public job projects who assisted frontline quarantine efforts, building owners involved in the Good Landlord Win-Win Cooperation Project who shared the hardships of small business owners during difficult times, and Safe Restaurant owners who contributed to establishing a proper dining culture and hygienic eating-out environment.
Additionally, handwritten letters of encouragement were delivered to families where five members were quarantined separately in different spaces and could not see each other’s faces until the end of the year.
Moreover, Gwangjin-gu extended warm consolation to neighbors who might be isolated due to COVID-19. Among the integrated case management targets in Gwangjin-gu, three households were selected, including residents of Gwangjin-gu 119 housing who had a difficult year, as well as grandparent-grandchild and multicultural families, and necessary items such as baby formula and heated mats were provided.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, the delivery of these items was conducted in a non-face-to-face manner instead of direct visits.
