Hapcheon-gun Selected as National Excellent Institution in Central Evaluation of Rural Development Projects
Evaluation of Core Achievements, Internal and External Assessments, and Promotion Performance of Rural Guidance Institutions
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] The Agricultural Technology Center of Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it was selected as an excellent institution nationwide in the 2020 Rural Development Project Central Evaluation conducted for more than 150 rural development institutions nationwide and received the Rural Development Administration Commissioner Award.
The Rural Development Project Central Evaluation is conducted by the Rural Development Administration and evaluates 10 indicators and 18 detailed indicators, including core performance of rural guidance institutions, internal and external evaluations, and publicity achievements.
Despite many difficulties this year, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and flood damage caused by dam discharge, the Agricultural Technology Center received high scores for comprehensive satisfaction with technology dissemination projects, resolution of on-site technical difficulties, and disaster response achievements through the diverse efforts of about 100 employees across five departments.

An official from the Agricultural Technology Center said, “Despite difficult conditions, we achieved great results by implementing non-face-to-face farming education, establishing a public-private-military cooperative system for disaster recovery, and exempting agricultural machinery usage fees to meet the needs of farmers,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen farmer-centered services and improve actual farm household income.”
