Hampyeong-gun Achieves Hope Sharing Campaign Goal Early in Just 28 Days
[Hampyeong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Hampyeong-gun, Jeollanam-do, has early achieved the fundraising goal for the 'Hope 2021 Sharing Campaign' organized by the Community Chest of Korea.
According to Hampyeong-gun on the 29th, the amount raised in Hampyeong-gun until the previous day was 272.78 million KRW, exceeding 104.3% of this year's target amount within 28 days since the fundraising began on the 1st.
This year, the county set the target fundraising amount at about 260 million KRW, which is 80% of last year's level.
Considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the heavy rain damage in July and August, the target amount was lowered, but with more than a month left until the fundraising deadline, it is expected that not only the original target amount (327 million KRW) but also the highest fundraising amount ever can be achieved.
This year's Hampyeong-gun Hope Sharing Campaign saw a continuous stream of donations from inside and outside the region from the first day of fundraising.
On the first day alone, 23 million KRW worth of donations poured in, and within a week, 113 million KRW was raised, averaging about 10 million KRW per day in donations.
Even on the 28th, when the target fundraising amount was exceeded, the donation stream continued.
Saeha Information System Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Jaehyun) donated 3 million KRW, Hampwoohoe (Chairman Lee Kwangwoo), Kang Songbok, President of Hampyeong-gun Saemaeul Association, and Da-il Construction Co., Ltd. (CEO Yeo Ikgyu) each donated 1 million KRW, and Yang Junhee, Branch Manager of Gwangju Bank Hampyeong Branch, donated 500,000 KRW.
Earlier, Hampyeong Full Gospel Church (Senior Pastor Lee Gibong) and Nabigol Agricultural Cooperative (Chairman Kim Youngcheol) each donated 3 million KRW, former Hampyeong-gun public official Jeong Chandeuk donated 1 million KRW, Seunghyeon’s Saessak-sam at Hampyeong Cheonji (CEO Lee Seunghyeon) donated fresh ginseng worth 1.29 million KRW, and Daejin ENC Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Duho) donated a billiard table worth 1.87 million KRW, showing a strong spirit of private donations.
