Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Designates ‘Mun Youngrae Orthopedic Hospital’ as Consignment Hospital for Veterans
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangju Regional Veterans Affairs Office (Director Im Seonghyun) announced on the 28th that it has re-designated Mun Youngrae Orthopedic Hospital as the entrusted hospital for veterans in Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City.
As the contract with Seonhan Hospital, which was previously designated as the entrusted hospital, ended on December 31, 2020, this change was promoted so that veterans and their families living far from veterans hospitals can receive high-quality medical services closer to their residences.
Mun Youngrae Orthopedic Hospital will be available for medical treatment starting January 1 of next year.
Veterans who have been injured, patients with Agent Orange-related sequelae, etc., can receive treatment funded by the government. Veterans aged 75 or older who participated in the war will receive a 90% discount on their out-of-pocket medical expenses, veterans aged 75 or older who received military merit, surviving family members of first-priority independence patriots receiving compensation, and surviving family members of veterans will receive a 60% discount on their out-of-pocket expenses.
