View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On the 25th, which is both Christmas and Friday, the whole country will be mostly clear with temperatures dropping significantly. Due to low precipitation and snowfall, a 'White Christmas' is unlikely.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) stated, "Morning temperatures will drop 5 to 10 degrees compared to the previous day, making it cold," adding, "Temperatures in the central region will be around -5°C, while northern Gyeonggi and Gangwon Yeongseo will drop to around -10°C."
Winds will also blow somewhat strongly on this day, making the perceived temperature even lower.
According to the KMA, by 9 a.m., there will be rain or snow in the southern Chungnam West Coast, western Jeolla, and mountainous areas of Jeju Island, with some snow flurries in inland southern Chungcheong, inland Jeolla, and parts of inland western Gyeongsang.
Snowfall amounts will be around 1 cm in the southern Chungnam West Coast, western Jeolla, mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo. Expected precipitation in these areas is less than 5 mm.
Morning low temperatures on this day are forecasted as follows: △ Seoul -5°C △ Chuncheon -8°C △ Gangneung -2°C △ Daejeon -3°C △ Cheongju -3°C △ Daegu -1°C △ Gwangju 0°C △ Jeonju -1°C △ Busan 0°C △ Jeju 6°C.
Daytime high temperatures are forecasted as: △ Seoul 3°C △ Chuncheon 3°C △ Gangneung 5°C △ Daejeon 6°C △ Cheongju 5°C △ Daegu 6°C △ Gwangju 7°C △ Jeonju 6°C △ Busan 7°C △ Jeju 9°C.
Fine dust levels are expected to be 'Good' to 'Moderate' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
