KAMCO Opens 'Youth Food Truck No.1' Utilizing State-Owned Assets
Support for Startup Spaces for Small Business Owners and Young Entrepreneurs, Increased Utilization of State-Owned Property
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KAMCO (Korea Asset Management Corporation) announced on the 24th that it has opened the 'KAMCO Youth Food Truck No. 1' through customized leasing of idle national property on the site of the former Jaegung Police Substation in Gunpo-si, Gyeonggi-do.
This project is part of a policy to support small business owners using national property, aimed at supporting youth startups and enhancing the utilization value of national property by matching the demand for food truck startup spaces with idle national property.
KAMCO selects small-scale closed government offices and vacant lots among idle national properties that have excellent locations suitable for food truck startup spaces, and supports small business owners and young entrepreneurs to use these spaces by relaxing short-term and partial use restrictions.
Starting with this first store, KAMCO plans to expand the youth food truck project nationwide in cooperation with the Korea Food Truck Association. The project operators are publicly recruited by the Food Truck Association for each project, and KAMCO makes the final selection considering social minorities and residential areas among the applicants.
