Gwangju City Council Appeals for a Calm and Quiet Year-End Celebration
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] The Gwangju Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim Yong-jip) appealed to the public on the 23rd as recent cluster infections of COVID-19 continued in religious facilities, nursing homes, and other places.
They expressed concern that this period, ahead of Christmas, year-end, and New Year's holidays, when local infection spread is feared, would be the biggest challenge.
Chairman Kim Yong-jip said, "I would like to express my determination to devote all efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19," and urged, "I ask all citizens to strictly follow quarantine guidelines and unite so that everyone can spend a calm and quiet year-end."
