Integration of Online Business Organization to Adapt to Rapidly Changing Market Environment
Dongwon Home Food Strengthens Expertise by Introducing Separate CEO System for Each of Its Three Business Divisions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Dongwon Group announced on the 23rd that it will carry out the 2021 regular executive personnel appointments and organizational restructuring, focusing on streamlining its online business and strengthening expertise by business division in response to the rapidly changing market environment caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
First, through this personnel reshuffle, Dongwon Group decided to integrate the online organizations that were previously operated separately by each affiliate and business division to maximize synergy. Accordingly, Dongwon Mall (Dongwon F&B Online Business Division), a food specialty shopping mall; The Banchan& (Dongwon Home Food HMR Business Division), an online grocery market; and Geumcheon Meat (Dongwon Home Food Geumcheon Business Division), the largest domestic online livestock mall, will be consolidated into the Dongwon Home Food Online Business Division. The head of the integrated organization will be Kang Yong-su, Executive Director of Dongwon F&B, who has been promoted to Managing Director.
Dongwon Group also decided to introduce a separate representative system for each of the three business divisions?Food Ingredients & Seasoning Division, FS (Food Service) & Dining Division, and Online Business Division?to strengthen the expertise and efficiency of Dongwon Home Food, which operates food ingredients, seasoning, FS, dining, and online businesses.
Accordingly, Kim Seong-yong was appointed CEO of the Food Ingredients & Seasoning Division, Jung Moon-mok was appointed CEO of the FS & Dining Division, and Kang Yong-su was appointed CEO of the Online Business Division.
Shin Young-su, who served as CEO of Dongwon Home Food and Dongwon Wine Plus, was promoted to Vice Chairman and transferred to Dongwon Farms, a feed-specialized company. Vice Chairman Shin is an expert who has worked in the food sector for about 35 years at Dongwon F&B and Dongwon Home Food. Since 2012, he has served as CEO of Dongwon Home Food and led the company to grow into a 1 trillion KRW annual sales enterprise. Dongwon Group appointed Vice Chairman Shin as co-CEO alongside CEO Jeong Chun-oh, expecting him to lead the expansion and growth of the feed business in the future.
Meanwhile, Lee Jae-heung, Executive Director, was promoted to Managing Director and appointed CEO of Dongwon Wine Plus.

Along with this, Dongwon Group promoted a total of 23 executives, including the promotion of Kim Seong-yong from Vice President to President of Dongwon Home Food’s Food Ingredients & Seasoning Division. The effective date of the appointments is January 1 of next year.
