16 People Infected in Group at Gwangju Nursing Home... 1 Death Reported

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 22nd, 18 additional cases were confirmed overnight, including 15 people testing positive for COVID-19 at Evergreen Silver House (nursing home) in Buk-gu, Gwangju. Among them, one person died.
Cases numbered 890 through 904 are patients and staff of Evergreen Silver House in Gwangju. Case 894 died around 7 p.m. the previous day. This is the fourth COVID-19 related death in the Gwangju area.
Including the previously confirmed case 885 (caregiver), a total of 16 people (12 patients and 4 staff) were confirmed positive at Evergreen Silver House in one day.
Evergreen Silver House has a total of 24 living rooms from the basement first floor to the fourth floor above ground, housing 62 patients and 45 staff members, totaling 107 people.
The quarantine authorities plan to conduct an on-site risk assessment today and decide on transferring all patients and cohort isolation.
Case 888 is a resident of Singa-dong, Gwangsan-gu, and the infection route is under investigation.
Case 889, a resident of Dongnim-dong, Buk-gu, is related to Gwangju case 810 and was confirmed positive during self-quarantine.
