The 9th Brain Home Training Service focused on improving cognitive rehabilitation through practice workbooks (copying phrases, drawing mandalas).
This time, an ‘Organic Neutari Mushroom Cultivation Kit’ was provided to each household to allow participants to cultivate crops directly.
Crop therapy involves direct participation in the growth process of crops, which not only provides a sense of accomplishment but also psychological stability, helping to relieve stress and prevent depression. The Dementia Safety Center prepared this service with these benefits in mind.
After receiving the organic Neutari mushroom cultivation kit and practice workbook, Dementia Safety Center staff call each household and conduct non-face-to-face crop programs at least once a week.
An elderly participant who received the mushroom kit said, “I am disappointed that I cannot participate in the program due to COVID-19, but thanks to the Dementia Safety Center that always checks on me and treats me warmly, life feels worth living,” expressing both regret and gratitude.
