The district was recognized for exemplary operation of family-friendly systems such as childcare support, flexible working hours, and fostering a family-friendly workplace culture, and was reselected following 2017, maintaining its status as a family-friendly certified institution until November 2023.
In particular, not only did it actively encourage systems such as parental leave, family care leave, and reduced working hours during pregnancy, but it also conducted specialized family-friendly programs for employees with elementary school children, including craft experiences and rooftop garden experiences with their children, earning high marks.
The family-friendly certified institution system is a program where the Minister of Gender Equality and Family grants certification to nationwide companies and government/public institutions that strive to harmoniously balance work and family life. The certification period is three years.
Jungnang-gu first obtained family-friendly certification in 2017, but as the certification period expired on November 30, 2020, it applied for re-certification last June.
