View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-eun] On the 21st, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that dozens of cases of COVID-19 cluster infections occurred at a nursing hospital and nursing home in Guro-gu, Seoul, and a hospital in Seocho-gu.
Accordingly, the city has implemented cohort isolation measures and is conducting contact tracing and testing.
According to Seoul city, due to the cluster outbreak at the nursing hospital in Guro-gu, 64 confirmed cases occurred in Seoul alone by midnight of that day, with an additional 10 cases tentatively counted thereafter.
One hospitalized patient at the hospital was first confirmed positive on the 15th, and 63 additional confirmed cases were identified among patients, caregivers, and guardians at the same nursing hospital and nursing home.
The health authorities tested 2,265 people excluding the first confirmed patient. Among them, 1,660 tested negative, and the results for 542 people are still pending.
Additionally, at the hospital in Seocho-gu, 15 confirmed cases were identified nationwide, including 12 from Seoul and 3 residents from other regions. A discharged patient from this hospital was first confirmed positive on the 10th of this month, and subsequently, family members, patients, and guardians tested positive.

The health authorities have tested 274 people excluding the first confirmed patient so far, with 226 testing negative and 34 results still pending.
