"54.8% Say 'No Need for Yoon Seok-yeol's Resignation' · 38.3% Say 'Resign Together'"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Amid Justice Minister Choo Mi-ae's resignation, a public opinion poll revealed that more than half of the people believe that Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol's simultaneous resignation is unnecessary.
According to Realmeter's survey conducted on the 18th at the request of YTN, 54.8% of the 500 men and women aged 18 and over nationwide responded that "Yoon's resignation is unnecessary," the agency announced on the 21st. Those who answered "Yoon should also resign simultaneously" accounted for 38.3%, and 6.9% said "I don't know."
By age group, those aged 50 and over mostly responded that Yoon's resignation was unnecessary, while among those aged 40 and under, the gap between the two responses was within the margin of error and closely contested.
By political party support, 78.9% of Democratic Party supporters said simultaneous resignation was necessary. Among People Power Party supporters, 88.1% evaluated that Yoon did not need to step down. Among the non-affiliated group, 65.6% said Yoon did not have to resign.
By region, only in Gwangju and Jeolla (27.9% vs. 56.0%) was the opinion for simultaneous resignation higher.

This survey contacted 6,754 adults aged 18 and over nationwide, with a final 500 respondents completing the survey, recording a response rate of 7.4%, and a sampling error of ±4.4 percentage points at a 95% confidence level.
