Hosted by Haksan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, this event has been ongoing for nine years since 2009. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, only a minimal number of attendees, including Nam Soo-hee, Pohang Steelworks Director, Do Seong-hyun, Pohang City Welfare Director, and heads of social welfare facilities, participated.
Starting with the delivery ceremony, POSCO plans to sequentially distribute a total of 11,000 heads (worth approximately 100 million KRW) of kimchi kimjang to 26 local social welfare facilities caring for marginalized neighbors, including free meal centers, comprehensive social welfare centers, comprehensive welfare centers for the disabled, and senior welfare centers located in Pohang City.
Do Seong-hyun, Pohang City Welfare Director, expressed, "We thank all POSCO employees who actively participate in sharing with a heart that always considers neighbors," and added, "We hope this will be a great gift to neighbors struggling to get through the winter."
