6 COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in One Room at Donghae Hospital... Ward Cohort Isolation Implemented
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Six confirmed COVID-19 patients were identified in a single hospital room at the Korea Workers' Compensation & Welfare Service Donghae Hospital, leading to cohort isolation of the entire ward.
According to health authorities on the 18th, six people, including four inpatients aged 50 to 70 and two caregivers, tested positive for COVID-19 in the same hospital room at Donghae Hospital.
There were four patients and four caregivers in the room; among them, one tested negative and another is undergoing specimen testing. Upon confirmation of the positive cases, the hospital suspended operations, closed the ward, and implemented cohort isolation by each hospital room.
