A transfer crane is a cargo handling equipment used to move or lift containers within the yard facility at the pier.
The Authority expects that the addition of the two new TCs will contribute not only to the early normalization of operations by the integrated operator following the merger of SM Shipping Gwangyang Terminal (SMGT) and Gwangyang Port West Container Terminal (GWCT), but also to the establishment of the first 24-hour logistics service at Gwangyang Port.
