Gyeongsan-si 'Kkumdeulim' Provides Meal Support for Out-of-School Youth
Effectiveness of Preventing Food Insecurity and Promoting Regular Eating Habits
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] Gyeongsan City in Gyeongbuk announced on the 18th that the out-of-school youth support center 'Kkumdeulim' has been implementing a meal support project for 255 youths who participated in the center's programs from May to December.
The meal support was provided in two ways: a face-to-face method in collaboration with nearby local restaurants offering meals preferred by the youths, and a non-face-to-face method by preparing and delivering 'Kkumdeulim Bapsim' meal kits composed of instant foods.
Lee Jong-sook, head of the Women's and Family Division and director of the Gyeongsan City Out-of-School Youth Support Center, said, "We hope this meal support has helped prevent hunger and contributed to the healthy growth of out-of-school youths. We will continue to strive to explore various support projects for the healthy development of out-of-school youths."
