Jeju Coast Guard Rescues Drowning Person at Sea
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] A person who fell into the sea in front of Jeju Port New Port was safely rescued by Jeju Coast Guard officers.
According to the Jeju Coast Guard Station, at around 9:33 a.m. on the 18th, a report was received that a person had fallen into the sea about 700m off the west breakwater of Jeju Port New Port. They arrived at the scene around 9:40 a.m., confirmed the drowning victim Mr. A, and a dispatched coast guard officer entered the water carrying a rescue tube. At around 9:50 a.m., the victim was safely rescued by the Jeju Coast Guard coastal rescue boat waiting nearby.
