GS Retail Holds AR Event with LG Uplus
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] GS Retail is conducting a non-face-to-face AR event for members using the LG Uplus AR (Augmented Reality) application.
Customers visiting GS25 convenience stores and GS The Fresh supermarkets operated by GS Retail can play the ‘O~mori Christmas’ AR game immediately by capturing the lid of Omori Kimchi Stew or Gonghwachun Cup Noodles with the U+AR app camera. After completing the AR game mission, customers who enter will be eligible for a lottery to receive additional prizes.
The event runs from the 21st to the 31st of this month, and all customers with a smartphone can participate by simply downloading the Uplus AR app, regardless of their mobile carrier.
Prizes totaling 3,000 items will be awarded by lottery to participants, including 500 Omori Kimchi Stew Cup Noodles, 1,000 Yours Yakult Grand 280ML, and 1,500 Yours Chocolate Ta.
The AR event, jointly planned by GS Retail and LG Uplus, is expected to serve as a case that not only ends with product purchases but also stimulates customer interest in best-selling products through mobile devices and increases loyalty to those products.
