As the first inspection target, he visited the Dosa steep slope collapse risk area maintenance project site in Daap-myeon, where a toad-shaped rock was discovered, saying, “It is amazing that a toad-shaped rock was found in the area where the legend of the Seomjin River toad is passed down,” and instructed to organize and cultivate the surroundings to preserve it.
Next, he visited the Clean Water Green Rural Development Project site, which is underway to develop a stay-type leisure and tourism program utilizing the natural resources of the Seomjin River and to establish a 6th industry base, ordering the maintenance of the slopes of two existing streams and the expansion of the stream width.
He also toured the Jinwol steep slope collapse risk area and then visited the planned site for the construction of the Geumho Health Living Support Center.
Responding to residents’ opinions that “we are grateful to build the Health Living Support Center in a location with good accessibility,” he replied, “I am glad to be able to promote this long-cherished project, and we will build it while preserving the existing landscape as much as possible.”
Then, Mayor Jeong visited the Geumho Public Library, Geumho District Youth Culture House, and Geumho-dong Living SOC residential parking lot construction sites, which were selected for the Geumho-dong Living SOC complex support project and are under construction, urging efforts to complete them as quickly as possible given the high expectations of residents.
