Ha Tae-kyung: "Yoon Seok-yeol Purge and the Launch of the Corruption Investigation Office... A Power Corruption Cover-up Operation"
"President Moon's Planned and Minister Choo's Leading Role in a Rigged Go-Stop Game"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 16th, Ha Tae-kyung, a member of the People Power Party, stated regarding Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol receiving a two-month suspension from the Ministry of Justice's Prosecutor Disciplinary Committee, “The disciplinary committee was nothing more than a rigged Go-Stop game starring the mastermind President Moon Jae-in and the swindler Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae,” adding, “The purge of Prosecutor General Yoon and the launch of the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) are proceeding smoothly as a cover-up operation for power corruption.”
On the same day, Ha said on Facebook, “The reason Yoon’s suspension is two months is to allow time to launch the CIO, which covers up power corruption,” and added, “They believe that once the CIO is launched, it will be possible to seize power corruption investigations and shake Prosecutor General Yoon.”
Ha emphasized, “The disciplinary action against Prosecutor General Yoon is an atrocity that destroys the political independence of the prosecution and undermines the rule of law,” and said, “If Prosecutor General Yoon is guilty, it is only because he followed the president’s orders and investigated living powers without exception.”
Ha also stated, “President Moon said yesterday that if the CIO had existed, the Park Geun-hye administration’s state affairs manipulation would not have happened. That is incorrect,” explaining, “At that time, the Choi Soon-sil special prosecutor was recommended by the opposition party, so the state affairs manipulation was thoroughly investigated. If a special prosecutor like the CIO, which is a lapdog of the regime, had been appointed, they would have tried to cover up the state affairs manipulation.”
