"Dedicated to COVID-19 Prevention" ... Andong City Health Center Temporarily Suspends Regular Services
Medical Treatment and Vaccinations, Medical Certificate Issuance at Hospitals and Clinics... Health Centers and Health Clinics Operating Normally
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-ho] The Andong City Public Health Center in Gyeongbuk announced that from the 15th to the 31st, all services except for COVID-19 related quarantine measures, including general medical treatment, vaccinations, issuance of health certificates, and health examination certificates, will be urgently suspended.
This measure is a government decision to focus the health center's quarantine capabilities and administrative power on responding to COVID-19.
To minimize inconvenience to citizens due to the suspension of health center services, guidance on prescribed medications for patients who have already received treatment and issuance of certificates for completed tests will be possible. The 14 branch health centers and 25 health clinics will operate normally.
General medical treatment and issuance of health examination certificates can be done at external hospitals and clinics, and flu vaccinations are available at about 50 commissioned medical institutions within the city.
In Andong City, 14 confirmed COVID-19 cases have occurred from the 11th to the 14th. Health center staff are conducting COVID-19 tests on about 1,000 contacts and others, and are making every effort to prevent early spread in the region by implementing self-quarantine measures for high-risk groups.
