'178 Underwater Cultural Heritage Items Selected and Recorded through Discovery Reports and Seizures'
The National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage announced on the 14th that it has published a catalog introducing underwater cultural heritage discovered, reported, or confiscated in domestic waters. The catalog is titled "Reported and Confiscated Underwater Cultural Heritage." It includes 178 selected items of cultural heritage discovered, reported, or confiscated between 2004 and 2018. The catalog contains information on underwater cultural heritage, high-resolution photos, and detailed descriptions, making it easy for anyone to understand. The procedures until the heritage is attributed to the state are also introduced in detail with illustrations. It also features cases of underwater excavation surveys, conservation processes, and utilization for exhibitions, education, and research materials. The book will be distributed to national and public libraries, museums, research institutions, and local governments. It is also available for viewing on the institute's website.
