"AI Voice Assistant Responds with Baekhyun, Joy, Taeyong Voices" SKT Launches NUGU Celeb
[Asia Economy Reporter Joeslgina] "Aria, set the voice to EXO Baekhyun."
An artificial intelligence (AI) voice assistant service that answers various questions in the voices of popular stars and calls users by their nicknames has been launched.
SK Telecom announced on the 11th that it will provide the 'NUGU Celeb' service, which allows users to change the voice guidance of the AI service 'NUGU' to the voices of popular stars such as EXO Baekhyun, Red Velvet Joy, and NCT Taeyong. There are two types: 'NUGU Celeb: Voice,' which replaces the basic voice guidance with a star's voice, and 'NUGU Celeb: Alarm,' which provides notifications with hourly changing messages from the star along with the user's set nickname.
SK Telecom applied the voices of Baekhyun, Joy, and Taeyong through collaboration with SM Entertainment. The star's voice and the user's nickname can be set in the NUGU application.
To use NUGU Celeb, users must purchase a subscription through the NUGU app. The subscription options include a monthly recurring payment of 1,500 to 2,000 KRW and fixed-term passes (180 days, 360 days) that can be used for a specific period.
