Providing Customized Community Service Investment Projects for Infants, Children & Adolescents, and Persons with Disabilities... Additional 20 Million Won Secured, Expecting to Alleviate Social Service Waiting Lists
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) has been honored as an excellent district at the Seoul Metropolitan Government's '2020 Community Service Investment Project Performance Sharing Conference.'
This evaluation was conducted through a rigorous review by the Seoul Performance Evaluation Committee and the Seoul Community Service Support Group, covering all aspects of the community service investment project throughout the year, including ▲project execution and management ▲project performance and feedback ▲capacity building.
In particular, despite COVID-19, the district received excellent evaluations overall by conducting provider meetings for the previous year's project evaluation and non-face-to-face checks on providers' compliance with administrative guidance and measures.
Currently, Gwanak-gu is carrying out a total of eight community service investment projects: ▲infant and toddler development support services ▲child and adolescent psychological support services ▲child and adolescent emotional support services ▲child and adolescent vision formation support services ▲massage services for the visually impaired ▲rental services for assistive devices for the disabled ▲customized exercise services for adults with disabilities ▲and total mental health care services.
Meanwhile, since being selected as the best district at the first performance sharing conference held by Seoul in 2018, the district has achieved the remarkable feat of winning awards for three consecutive years, including excellent district awards in 2019 and 2020, and has additionally secured 20 million won in project budget, which is expected to contribute to resolving the waiting list for community services.
