Muheop-KOSDAQ Association Supports Venture Companies and Startup Innovation Collaboration
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] The Korea International Trade Association (KITA) and the KOSDAQ Association announced on the 10th that they held the 'Trade Association x KOSDAQ Association Startup Open Innovation Day' at COEX in Samseong-dong.
The event was planned to explore various cooperation possibilities such as investment and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) between KOSDAQ-listed companies and startups.
Seven KOSDAQ-listed companies from various industries including artificial intelligence (AI), bio-healthcare, consumer goods, functional feed and food, and semiconductors held one-on-one meetups with startups for new business creation and digital innovation collaboration. Among approximately 60 startups that applied in advance, 20 were selected as final cooperation candidates through screening and participated in the consultation session.
Simultaneously with the one-on-one consultation, presentations were held by five promising startups leading the AI and healthcare fields. IoT-based facility management startup Monet Korea, which created a successful open innovation case with a large corporation, Wayne Hills Ventures, which automatically converts text into video, and AI cervical cancer diagnosis company iDOT, which succeeded in entering overseas markets, gave case presentations at the event.
