Through this agreement, both parties will jointly promote various marketing activities, including the ‘Han-don & K-Rospam Joint K Project’ campaign.
Through this agreement, Lotte Food will launch Han-don products (canned ham, refrigerated ham, HMR products, etc.), expand the proportion of Han-don usage, apply phased Han-don BI certification to existing products using domestic pork, and conduct various promotions to boost Han-don consumption. The Korea Pork Producers Association will also support promotional activities related to Han-don products.
Both parties will carry out various joint marketing activities. Lotte Food has already been running the ‘K-Rospam Supports Han-don Farmers’ event from November 20 to January 31 next year. In this event, customers who upload a purchase verification photo of K-Rospam on Instagram with the hashtags '#KRospam #SupportHan-donFarmers #PurchaseVerificationEvent' will have 1,000 KRW donated per post to provide relief supplies to underprivileged groups. Participants will also be entered into a draw where 10 first-place winners will receive 5 don of golden pork, 100 second-place winners will receive 1 kg of Han-don pork, and a total of 1,983 winners will receive various prizes.
The Korea Pork Producers Association is also running the ‘Han-don & K-Rospam Joint K Project’ from November 27 to December 20. Participants can upload recipes using pork front leg or hind leg cuts or K-Rospam on Instagram with the hashtags #Han-don #KRospam #Han-donCookingGram to enter. A total of 518 winners will receive various prizes such as Samsung dishwashers and K-Rospam sets.
Additionally, from mid-December, a Han-don certified store K-Rospam giveaway event will be held. Customers who purchase Han-don pork above a certain amount at over 1,000 Han-don certified stores nationwide will receive K-Rospam as a gift.
Meanwhile, with recent school meal suspensions, the stock of domestic pork hind leg cuts has surged, deepening the concerns of local farmers. According to the Korea Meat Distribution Export Association, as of September, the stock of domestic pork hind leg cuts reached approximately 42,000 tons, a 256% increase compared to the same period last year. In this situation, the expansion of Han-don consumption by Lotte Food, a leading domestic meat processing company, is expected to be a great support for local farmers.
