Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education Signs Agreement for 'University Student Mentoring' for Vulnerable Groups ... Connects Mentors from Korea Student Aid Foundation
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will sign a business agreement with the Korea Student Aid Foundation at 4 p.m. on the 8th in the Yeomin Room of the Office of Education to ensure stable operation of university student mentoring and strengthen mutual cooperation to support students from educationally vulnerable groups.
The Office of Education explained that since many students from educationally vulnerable groups wished to continue participating in the university student mentoring, which was temporarily conducted during online school openings and summer vacation periods, they decided to pursue cooperation with the Korea Student Aid Foundation to secure stable mentors.
In this agreement, both organizations agreed to mutually cooperate in discovering mentees from vulnerable groups to provide emotional and academic support, as well as in recruiting and managing stable university student mentors, exchanging information necessary for mentoring operations, and promoting related activities.
Through this agreement, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will be able to connect low-income single children one-on-one with university student mentors to provide integrated mentoring support such as emotional support and assistance with assignments.
