Jongno-gu Diversifies Public Job Programs for Disabled from Full-Time to Part-Time

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) is promoting the '2021 Disabled Persons Job Project' to expand social participation and support income security for people with disabilities, and is recruiting participants until the 10th.
This job project has been implemented annually since 2007 to contribute to social independence and improvement of quality of life by providing public jobs to people with disabilities who belong to the employment-vulnerable group.
The project period is a total of 12 months from January to December 2021, recruiting ▲26 full-time general jobs ▲19 part-time general jobs ▲31 participatory welfare jobs.
Eligibility is Seoul citizens aged 18 or older who are registered unemployed persons with disabilities under the Disabled Welfare Act.
Preference points of 10 points will be given during selection only to Jongno-gu residents.
Residents who wish to participate in full-time or part-time general jobs can apply by bringing their ID card and visiting their address or nearby community service center in person by the 10th.
In the case of welfare jobs, the entrusted institution will directly recruit participants, and an announcement is scheduled in December.
Working conditions are 40 hours per week for full-time, 20 hours per week for part-time, and 14 hours per week for participatory jobs.
Monthly salary is paid up to a maximum of 1,822,480 KRW depending on the type, and the four major insurances and statutory allowances are applied. The actual amount received may vary for each recipient depending on the individual burden of the four major insurances.
Upon selection, participants will be assigned tasks such as ▲administrative work at community service centers ▲welfare services at facilities for people with disabilities ▲support for daily quarantine, reflecting individual disability types and desired jobs as much as possible.
