The newly introduced feature focuses on implementing one-on-one customized feedback, an advantage of offline workbooks, online to enable as close a class as possible.
According to an online survey conducted in September by Jaeneung Education’s Self-Education Research Institute targeting 695 parents of young children and elementary students, 235 parents (34%) out of all respondents had no experience using online private education. The reasons for not using online private education were answered in order as ‘I don’t think study habits will be established (12%),’ ‘I think they will do the study carelessly, such as guessing answers (11%),’ and ‘I don’t think study counseling will be conducted thoroughly (11%),’ confirming that parents have high concerns about online education.
Jaeneung Education plans to ensure that communication between teachers and students is as thorough as possible by introducing the triple video class function. Both teachers and learners will be able to simultaneously engage in voice conversations, handwriting and drawing, and typing in the chat window during video classes.
The Jaeneungirang video class function allows video classes anytime and anywhere without device restrictions such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, or PCs. There is no need to purchase a separate dedicated device, and classes can be conducted by accessing the browser or downloading the app on any device the learner owns.
When a student takes and sends a photo of the workbook they solved, it is displayed on the screen for real-time classes, minimizing delays in workbook progress and helping to establish study habits. The video class function can be used in the same way while viewing Jaeneung Education’s online e-book textbooks. Since its launch in March, about 30,000 Jaeneung Education members are currently using Jaeneungirang.

Park Gwisook, head of IT support at Jaeneung Education, said, “While strengthening the video class function of ‘Jaeneungirang,’ young children who are not accustomed to expressing themselves verbally or in writing can also express themselves through drawings,” adding, “We planned the system to enable easy communication with teachers by aligning as much as possible with the children’s perspective.”
