One Confirmed COVID-19 Case in Gwangju After Contact with Infected Person from Another City... Total 733 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] One additional COVID-19 case has been confirmed in Gwangju, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 733.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 4th, resident A of Ssangchon-dong, Seo-gu, was diagnosed with COVID-19 and classified as local case number 733.
A is known to have been infected through contact with case number 724 from Seongnam-si, who resides in Bundang, Gyeonggi-do and visited Gwangju.
Case 724 from Seongnam developed symptoms on the 2nd and was tested on the 3rd, receiving a positive diagnosis. The route of infection is under investigation.
As of 2 p.m. on the 4th, a total of 244,956 people in the Gwangju area have been tested, and 421 are awaiting test results.
All 125 confirmed patients currently receiving treatment are mild cases.

Out of 652 available beds including nationally designated treatment beds, dedicated hospitals, and residential treatment centers, 114 are occupied by Gwangju patients and 317 by patients from other cities and provinces, leaving 221 beds available.
