"At Least 30 Million Doses Produced Monthly Starting March Next Year"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Russia has launched a promotional campaign highlighting the affordable price of its domestically developed novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine, Sputnik V, as a key sales point.
On the 3rd (local time), according to Russia's TASS news agency, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), stated at a special session of the United Nations General Assembly the previous day that "the cost of Sputnik V will be less than $10 per dose."
Dmitriev also mentioned regarding the production of Sputnik V that "discussions are underway with Egypt and Nigeria about production," and claimed that "more than 40 countries representing over 50% of the world's population have expressed interest in Sputnik V."

He further explained that RDIF has received orders for more than 1.2 billion doses of the vaccine to date. He emphasized, "From March onwards, including overseas local production, at least 30 million doses will be produced monthly."
