E-Land: "Card Information Leaked by Hackers Estimated to Be Internet Patchwork Data"
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] E-Land Group confirmed that a ransomware distributor declared their intention to release some data, which they claim was stolen from E-Land, on the dark web, and immediately reported the matter to the police and related authorities on the 3rd.
An E-Land official stated, “The data currently uploaded as samples on the dark web is presumed to be unverified information, and it is uncertain whether it contains actual card information,” adding, “We believe it to be false information pieced together from previously circulating data, but for public safety, we have promptly reported it to the relevant agencies and requested an investigation.”
E-Land explained that the source of the data released by the ransomware distributor on the dark web is unclear, and it has not been verified whether it contains specific information that could be used for criminal purposes.
