Cheil Worldwide Wins Five Crowns as 'Advertising Company of the Year' Selected by 'Campaignz'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Cheil Worldwide announced on the 3rd that it won five awards at the ‘Agency of the Year’ selected by ‘Campaign Asia Pacific,’ a leading professional magazine in the Asian advertising industry.
The ‘Agency of the Year,’ announced annually by Campaign Asia Pacific, is a prestigious awards ceremony that evaluates the annual performance of advertising, PR, and communication companies operating in the Asia-Pacific region and presents awards by region and category. This year, awards were given by dividing 17 countries in the Asia-Pacific region into five areas.
Cheil Worldwide achieved the remarkable feat of winning gold awards in a total of five categories: ‘Korea/Japan Brand Experience Agency,’ ‘Korea/Japan Event Marketing Agency,’ and ‘Korea/Japan Integrated Marketing Agency,’ where Korean and Japanese advertising companies competed, as well as ‘Korea Creative Agency’ and ‘Korea Digital Agency,’ which were limited to domestic companies.
In particular, it is significant that Cheil Worldwide won the top gold awards in categories where Korean and Japanese companies competed, surpassing well-known advertising firms such as Dentsu and Hakuhodo.
The judging panel of Campaign Asia Pacific explained the reason for the award, stating, “Cheil Worldwide was highly evaluated for gaining strong and long-lasting trust with clients through outstanding creativity.”
Cheil Worldwide was highly praised for expanding its business by strengthening connected solutions that link advertising, data, technology, and retail, as well as performance marketing that contributes to clients’ sales growth, cost reduction, and effectiveness measurement. It is also analyzed that the award-winning result is linked to actively responding to the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19 by assisting clients’ digital transformation based on accumulated digital capabilities.
