Second COVID-19 Positive Employee Confirmed at Yesul-ui Jeondang
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The Seoul Arts Center announced on the 2nd that one more employee tested positive for COVID-19. This is the second confirmed case following the discovery of one infected employee two days ago.
The Seoul Arts Center stated that after an employee working at the Opera House tested positive for COVID-19 on November 30, they investigated employees who had contact with the confirmed case, resulting in one additional positive case. There were 73 employees who had contact with the first confirmed employee, and one of them tested positive. The Seoul Arts Center reported that 70 contacts tested negative and 2 are awaiting results.
The Seoul Arts Center revealed that the newly confirmed employee works on the same floor as the previously confirmed employee. However, an investigation will be conducted to determine whether the infection was transmitted from the earlier confirmed case or contracted through another route.

To prepare for any eventuality, the Seoul Arts Center plans to divide all employees, not just those in the affected area, into two groups and implement alternating remote work starting from the 3rd. Additionally, professional disinfection and sterilization were carried out throughout the Seoul Arts Center over the past two days. They have requested a prompt epidemiological investigation and are cooperating closely, and will actively cooperate with future measures from health authorities.
