Personal Information Leak Incident Occurs at Kakao Blockchain Affiliate
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] A personal information leak incident occurred at Kakao's blockchain subsidiary.
According to GroundX's subsidiary GroundOne, on the 8th of last month at 3 PM, an external party accessed the company's cloud-based document management system and stole work-related files.
The files contained information such as names, emails, and phone numbers of about 2,000 contacts related to business partners.
GroundOne reported the incident to relevant authorities in accordance with applicable laws, and took measures such as blocking the accessed account, strengthening internal security, controlling IP access, and continuous monitoring.

A company official stated, "This leak incident is not related to 'Klaytn' or the virtual asset wallet service 'Klips'," and added, "We will make every effort to protect personal information to prevent such incidents from happening in the future."
