319 Locations Including Gwangjin-gu Urban Parks and Bus Stops Assigned Object Addresses
Assigning Addresses to Facilities for Rapid Location Identification in Emergencies
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) will assign 'object addresses' to small urban parks, bus stops, and taxi stands within the district to enable prompt response in case of safety accidents.
An object address refers to a road name address previously assigned only to buildings, now assigned to the locations of facilities to help residents easily identify the locations of these facilities.
Following last year's assignment of object addresses to earthquake outdoor shelters and some taxi stands, the district has completed location surveys and assigned object addresses to a total of 319 sites this year, including 7 small parks, 33 children's parks, 271 bus stops, and 8 taxi stands.
Accordingly, 'Dongja Park' now has the object address 'Gwangjin-gu Jayangbeonyeong-ro 3-gil 16', and the 'Gangbyeon Station Technomart Front Bus Stop' has the object address 'Gwangjin-gu Gwangnaru-ro 56-gil 86'.
The district plans to complete the installation of object address plates by the 15th so that residents can easily check the object addresses. The newly assigned object addresses will be available for confirmation on portal sites and navigation systems starting January next year.
