'What Do Young People Need in the COVID Era?'... Gangbuk-gu Holds Online Gangbuk Youth Forum
Operated in a non-face-to-face format on the 10th from 2 to 4 PM via video conferencing program and YouTube channel
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangbuk-gu (District Mayor Park Kyum-soo) will hold the '2020 Online Gangbuk Youth Forum' on the 10th from 2 PM to 4 PM.
The forum was organized with the purpose of having young people, who are the policy stakeholders, directly gather to seek solutions to the problems faced by youth.
The district will operate the event online to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The video will be streamed live through the Gangbuk-gu Office YouTube channel, and a video conferencing program will be used during discussions.
The forum will proceed in the order of a talk concert, online discussion, and sharing of discussion results.
The talk concert will cover "What Young People Need in the COVID-19 Era." Presenters include Kim Yoo-jin, CEO of the 'Kkumjarak Network,' Tanai, a youth creator, and Banseok, a member of the 'Gangbuk-gu Youth Network.'
They will examine youth issues in various social sectors caused by COVID-19 and discuss cases of youth activists and ways to overcome these challenges.
During the program, the district plans to encourage viewer participation through real-time Q&A and opinion sharing via the YouTube channel chat window.
The online discussion will be divided into four areas: ▲Culture & Arts ▲Youth Housing ▲Health & Self-Support ▲Economy & Policy. Each group will consist of one facilitator and four panelists to discuss "The Impact of COVID-19 on Local Youth Organizations and Ways to Overcome It."
After the discussion, facilitators from each area will summarize and present the group discussions, followed by a time to share opinions and impressions.
Going forward, the district plans to review the results derived from the forum to systematically reflect them in district government projects.
