The building will have 4 above-ground floors and a total floor area of 5,589.92㎡.
The Ttukseom Retention Basin Complex Cultural and Sports Center is a representative living SOC project of Seongdong-gu with a budget of 29.7 billion KRW. Utilizing the idle facility of Ttukseom Retention Basin, it will feature various sports facilities including a bowling alley and swimming pool, as well as welfare facilities and a cultural center, establishing itself as the largest complex cultural center in the area.
Since being selected as a living SOC project by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in March last year, it has undergone central investment review by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Seoul city urban planning facility change review, and approval of the urban planning facility project implementation plan. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on the 4th, aiming for completion in February 2022.
Main facilities include a multipurpose gymnasium, swimming pool (5 lanes), fitness center, rooftop outdoor futsal field, and for the first time among Seongdong-gu public sports facilities, a bowling alley (8 lanes) will be installed so residents can enjoy various types of community sports. Additionally, cultural and welfare service facilities such as daycare centers, elementary after-school care centers, and living culture centers will be provided, making it a large-scale complex facility accessible to people of all ages.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be held with fewer than 50 attendees following social distancing level 2.5 guidelines, and will proceed under strict quarantine measures including disinfection and mask-wearing.
